Black Moshannon State Park is a 3,394-acre Pennsylvania state park in Centre County, featuring the unique 250-acre Black Moshannon Lake fed by clear springs flowing through extensive bog ecosystems. The park protects 1,992 acres of bog as the Black Moshannon Bog Natural Area, one of the best examples of bog ecosystems in the Allegheny Plateau region. Surrounded by over 43,000 acres of Moshannon State Forest, the park offers 20 miles of trails passing through varied habitats including the famous bog boardwalks. The park sits just west of the Allegheny Front, creating unique ecological conditions and exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities.

Black Moshannon State Park is located 9 miles east of Philipsburg on Pennsylvania Route 504. From I-80, take Exit 123 (Kylertown) and follow PA Route 970 west to PA Route 504 west. From State College, take PA Route 26 north to PA Route 504 east. The park entrance is well-marked on Route 504. The park office is at 4216 Beaver Road, Philipsburg, PA 16866. GPS users should use this address for accurate directions.
