Prince Gallitzin State Park
Prince Gallitzin State Park is a magnificent 6,249-acre park in Cambria County, centered around the expansive 1,635-acre Glendale Lake. Named after Russian Prince Demetrius Augustine Gallitzin, a Catholic missionary who served the region in the early 1800s, the park is one of Pennsylvania's largest and most developed state parks. With over 32 miles of trails, a full-service marina, modern campground and cabins, swimming beach, and abundant wildlife, the park offers comprehensive outdoor recreation. The large lake provides excellent fishing for muskellunge, bass, walleye, and panfish. The surrounding forest includes mature hardwoods and scenic vistas. The park's size and facilities make it a destination for extended stays and family vacations.

Directions
From Altoona, take US-22 West to PA-53 North. Follow PA-53 North through Patton. Turn left onto Marina Road and follow signs to the park. From State College, take US-322 West to PA-53 South, then follow PA-53 to Marina Road. The park is approximately 20 miles from Altoona and 25 miles from State College.
