Hickory Run State Park is a 15,990-acre Pennsylvania state park in Carbon County featuring the famous Boulder Field National Natural Landmark - the largest boulder field in the Appalachian region. This geological wonder covers 16 acres and was created by glacial activity over 20,000 years ago. The park offers over 40 miles of hiking trails through diverse ecosystems, miles of trout streams including Hickory Run Creek, and year-round recreation opportunities. The park was chosen by DCNR as one of Pennsylvania's "25 Must-See State Parks" for its unique geology and outstanding natural features.

Directions

Hickory Run State Park is located off I-476 (Pennsylvania Turnpike Northeast Extension) at Exit 95 (Pocono/Lake Harmony). From the exit, follow PA Route 940 east for about 2 miles, then turn left onto PA Route 534 north. The park office is approximately 1 mile on the left.
