Cherry Springs State Park
Cherry Springs State Park is an 82-acre park in Potter County, internationally recognized as one of the best places in the eastern United States for stargazing. The park features a dedicated astronomy observation field with minimal light pollution, attracting astronomers from around the world. During the day, the park offers hiking trails through the surrounding Susquehannock State Forest and scenic vistas. Cherry Springs has been designated a Dark Sky Park by the International Dark-Sky Association, one of only a few in the United States. The park hosts regular public star parties and astronomy programs.

Directions
Cherry Springs State Park is located in Potter County on PA Route 44, approximately 12 miles south of Coudersport and 37 miles north of Renovo. From Coudersport, take PA Route 44 south for 12 miles - the park entrance is on the left (west side). The park is remote with very limited cell service. From the south, take PA Route 120 to Renovo, then PA Route 144 north to PA Route 44 north. The drive is scenic but can be challenging in winter. GPS users should use: 4639 Cherry Springs Road, Coudersport, PA 16915. White light is prohibited in observation areas - bring red flashlights only.
