Minnesota State Parks Near Pine City

St. Croix State Park spans more than 34,000 acres of forests, rivers, and wetlands in east-central Minnesota. Its highlights include the St. Croix and Kettle rivers, a historic fire tower, miles of roads and trails for biking and hiking, and some of the best camping in the state park system.

Banning State Park features the wild Kettle River, striking sandstone formations, and remnants of the historic Banning Sandstone Quarry. It is especially popular for hiking, canoeing, fishing, and viewing the park’s waterfall and rapids.

Mille Lacs Kathio State Park combines cultural history with classic Minnesota lake-country scenery along the south shore of Mille Lacs Lake. The park features forested trails, a historic observation tower, camping, and access to paddling and fishing opportunities.
