Nebraska State Parks Near Pierce

Willow Creek State Recreation Area features a broad lake, shoreline access, and a mix of water and land-based recreation opportunities. It is especially known for summer boating and fishing, along with family-friendly camping and day-use areas.

Ashfall Fossil Beds is known for its extraordinary fossilized remains of rhinos, horses, camels, and other animals preserved in a volcanic ash bed. The park features a visitor center, interpretive exhibits, and viewing areas where guests can watch paleontologists at work.

Dworshak State Park is a year-round recreation area on the south end of Dworshak Reservoir, surrounded by pine-covered hills and clear water. Visitors come for marina access, camping, picnicking, and easy access to some of Idaho’s best warm-water fishing and lake recreation.
